Die letzten 4 Wochen waren voll von Reisen, Bildern, Eindrücken und Begegnungen - Erlebnisse, die ich anhand der Fotos mit Euch teilen möchte.
Das erste April-Wochenende war ich zusammen mit Johanna und Friederike bei der Patchworkausstellung in Prag. Eine großartige Ausstellung mit vielen einzigartigen, wunderschönen Quilts von Künstlerinnen aus aller Welt. Mein Highlight war jedoch wieder mal Bara Bártosová - eine Tschechin, die ganz ausgefallene Arbeiten mit knallig-farbenen Stoffen und orginellen Techniken macht. Zudem waren auch einige amerikanische Quilterinnen von SAQA verteten, Japanische Boro- oder Sashiko-Arbeiten konnten bewundert werden. Aber seht selbst!
The last 4 weeks were full of travelling, images, impressions and encounters - adventures that I would like to share with you.
The first weekend in April I travelled to the Patchworkmeeting in Prague, together with Johanna and Friederike. It was a terrific exhibition with many unique, beautiful quilts by artists from all around the world. My favourite: Bara Bártosová - a Czeck lady, making exceptional works with gaudy colors and witty techniques. There were also American artists from SAQA as well as Japanese Boro and Sashiko creations that I admired. See for yourself!

Susan Briscoe stellte ihr Buch und ihre Arbeiten vor, "Japanese Quilt Inspirations" - dazu verkaufte sie auch Stoffe und Garne - die waren aber am zweiten Ausstellungstag fast ausverkauft!
Susan Briscoe introduced her book and her quilts, "Japanese Quilt Inspirations", but also sold her fabrics and threads, which were almost all gone by the second day!

Bei der Ausstellung in Dubec hat Jana Jandejskova ihr neues Buch vorgestellt - darin sind viele Tisch-Accessoires zum Nachnähen - toll bebildert.

Nach der Ausstellung in Dubec sind wir wieder zurück nach Prag, um dort noch ein bisschen durch die Verkaufsräume zu schlendern und den einen oder anderen Stoff zu kaufen. Am Abend waren wir zwar müde, aber glücklich von all den Eindrücken, die uns Prag geboten hat.
After the exhibition in Dubec we returned to Prag, strolling the showrooms to buy one or two fabrics. We were pretty tired but happy with all those impressions we got from Prague.
